Rodgers in for Austrian ace

Liverpool are being linked with Red Bull Salzburg defender Martin Hinteregger as reports claim Brendan Rodgers will be handed £60m.

The Reds are bang on course to qualify for the Champions League and if they do secure a place in the top four then it looks as though Rodgers will be handed a large transfer kitty to bolster his squad.
£60million is the budget that has been mentioned and £8million of it could be spent on Hinteregger, who has also been heavily linked with Manchester United and Arsenal.
Rodgers is known to be in the hunt for at least one central defender this summer and is said to have been impressed with the 21-year-old's performances for the Austrian side this season.
Salzburg will cash in if the money is right and a battle for the player's signature is on the cards.
Rodgers also wants a winger and striker, along with another creative midfielder with moves for Yevhen Konoplyanka and Benfica's Nicolas Gaitan also said to be in the pipeline.ers. It won't be easy. It will be a big challenge, and we can take another step towards defending the title."
